Okay, count down for France has definitely begun.
No, I don't have our tickets, YET.
Trying to find a relatively last minute, inexpensive, direct flight to Paris isn't easy;
Piper, our dog, dictates the 'direct' part of the flight.
Jude, the procrastinator, dictates the "last minute" part.
Here I am in Vermont with Alec and Piper while Jeff is in Virginia.
I have 20 days to buy tickets to France. In Vermont I am 2 1/2 hrs from Montreal.
In Virginia, I am 3 1/2 hrs. from Washington.
"Leave from Montreal," Jeff says, "you're only a couple of hours from there." A good idea if
it weren't for how do I get there and what do I do with our car; details, I know.
"Are you coming back to Virginia before you go?," friends ask. Well, I could leave from
D.C. yet direct flights are pricey.
Alec, meanwhile, says "don't worry mom, this is an adventure."
And Piper, stretched out at my feet, exhausted from her recent swim in the pond,
is ready for anything.
I can look at this situation a number of ways;
*panic (such a waste of good energy)
*go with the flow (still requires a fair bit of energy)
*or, align myself with Julian of Norwich, a 15th century English mystic who said
All Shall Be Well
and
All Shall Be Well
and
All Manner of All Things
Shall Be Well.
I think I'll go with Julian (I wonder if she was a procrastinator?)
