Ch Gong en France

This past Tuesday afternoon I went with Rachel to the home
of Kathy (Ka short a t ee). 7 women gathered for an
hour of chi gong; "Traditional Chinese Gymnastics, science
of breathing, based on knowledge and control of vital energy,
and combining slow movements, breathing exercises and concentration.
Literally means year ( gong ) on the qi ." (Wikipedia)

Of course Kathy led us in French and thankfully I could
peek to see what everyone was doing. All went well until
near the end when Kathy led us through inhilation and
exhalation exercises. "Inhalez avec un sourire
exhalent avec un sourire," Kathy invited. I was a bit
confused. How do I inhale with a mouse, I thought? I really
couldn't see what the others were doing and I definitely
didn't see any mouse. At the end, Kathy asked how we all
did. I asked, en francais, about breathing in with a mouse.
After some laughter Kathy explained that sourire means "smile"
and souris means mouse.

I liked chigong, mouse or no mouse.
