I am typing on a French keyboard so
I type a wee bit slower.
We arrived yesterday, safe and tired,
in Brussels, Belgium.
Piper survived the trip and
is learning French rather quickly;
donne-give (the ball)
prend- take
Upon entering the plane, I gave a
flight attendant a bag of chocolates
from Piper with her photo attached.
The message on her photo said, "please
take good care of my humans while I
am down below." Amazingly I was
offered free drinks during the flight.
Not bad for Piper's first flight.
After only an hour or two Rachel and I
drove to pick up Yaelle and Ludovic
at school. Alec met the secretary and
had a brief tour of the school. While
waiting outside for the kids to arrive
Alec observed his future classmates;
"they all look like criminals" was his
first impression, perhaps because several
lit up cigarettes upon leaving their
Catholic School.
We managed to go to bed just after
midnight in our lovely apartment, complete
with a huge bouquet of flowers, a
welcome to France gift from Michel and
Marie,our landlords and the parents of
Rachel.
Photos to follow.
