Today I spent mostly in bed, perhaps trying to rest for
our big day tomorrow; Alec's first day at school. I am
definitely more nervous than he is.
Willie, Leo and Laur knocked on our door with two pieces
of cake, a welcome gift. They are Rachel's nephews and nieces,
children of Dominic, Rachel's brother. Leo loved Piper.
We went outside to throw the ball and Leo, about 5, said
"Jude, comment on dit attends?" How do you say wait?
In about five minutes he learned wait, sit, okay. Then he asked
"comment on dit la secousse une patte" After a few gestures I
figured out he wanted to say "shake a paw" to Piper. I think
Piper will help Leo learn English.
Time for bed, big day tomorrow.
