Lessy remembers the wars and Sept, 11th

Alec's favourite uniform
We awoke Sunday morning to
drums and flags and bugles;  the fête du village de Lessy.
A remembrance of all the people who fought or were victims of the wars.

                                      This gentleman was 16 whenWWII ended.  General Patton approached him, placed his hand on his shoulder and said "good boy."

I love pomp and circumstance
marching toward
the cemetary
Laure et Leo
The children sang la marseillaise;
Alec says it is the bloodiest national.

Michel and a gentleman
representing the USA

Michel and others spoke about the catrastrophe of Sept. 11
All of this happened outside our front door1
